Things Everyone Must Do to Enjoy the Summer

1. If possible, go to the beach
2. Go camping (must include tent and campfire)
3. If you have a yard, start a garden today, even if you just use one packet of seeds. The hardest part of growing your organic foods at home is getting started.
4. Eat a Popsicle (you know you want to)
5. Get a little sun (your body will love you for it, a little vitamin D goes a long way)
6. Water balloon fight. Just go outside and throw a couple at your pesky neighbors. The worst that could happen is you get charged with asault. No big deal.
7. Go for a bicycle ride. Doesn't matter how far or how long, but some summer air can do anybody a load of good!
8. Go swimming! outside, if possible.
9. Find someone with a boat and get them to take you for a ride. Extra points if you do a water sport while you're at it.
10. Get a little healthier. Always wanted to lose a couple pounds? Always wanted a little more muscle definition? Always wanted to cut out trans fats from your diet? Just make one small change to start living a little healthier. My recommendation: cut out soda.

How to Be a Health "Nut"

If you aren't onboard yet it is time for everyone to go "nuts"!

There are many health benefits of a diet that includes 1 to 2 ounces of nuts daily. Here are some of the benefits you can enjoy:

In 1996 the Iowa Women's Health Study found that women who ate nuts more than 4 times per week were 40% less likely to die of Heart Disease, the leading cause of death in America.

Nuts are a great source of Protein, which helps the body burn fat and increase lean muscle mass

Nuts are rich in fiber and Phytonutrients as well as Antioxidants such as Vitamin E and Selenium.

Nuts contain high amounts of monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats which have been shown to lower Cholesterol levels.

Try adding these nuts and seeds to your diet to reap these benefits: almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, pecans, pine nuts, pistachios, walnuts, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds

John Wooden Dies at 99!!

Legenday UCLA College basketball coach passed away today. The man lived a full life including a 53 year marriage to his wife! After a solid 99 years he is now gone. So how did he do it? How did he live so long?

Answer: I have no idea. But I have some suggestions anyways. First, regular exercise is key!! An hour a day is recommended. Second, manage stress levels healthily by taking needed relaxation time and stretching. Third, eat a healthy (organic, of course!) diet and get the right amount of sleep. Fourth, regular check ups at the doctor.

Always try to avoid pollution, unnecessary chemicals, toxins, and unhealthy relationships!

And when all else fails, get necessary medications. You can get them online now, from secure websites such as TheOnlineMedicalPharmacy.com

Back Pain??

Its something a lot of us suffer from. It sucks. So what can we do? Apart from regular exercise and a healthy, organic diet and a good sleeping schedule, there are a few ways we can ease that back pain.

1. Stretch! One of the main causes of back pain is stress which causes muscles to tighten. Stretching the back will loosen up the muscles and relieve stress.

2. Massage! This will also help loosen up the muscles in the back and relieve stress.

3. Posture! Posture! Posture! If you are slouching in your chair it puts added stress on your spine and the muscles in the back are forced to compensate. If you can, invest in a back pad that improves posture while sitting.

4. If all else fails, don't let back pain ruin your life. Sometimes pain medication may be necessary. You can get that here. At the Online Medical Pharmacy you can order prescription medications with no prior prescription!

Nearby Volcano Mt. St. Helens is on the Rebound!

Just a short drive from Portland lies the infamous Mt. St. Helens. Thirty years ago today the volcano erupted in what remains the largest eruption in North America in recorded history. The blast and subsequent ash and lava flow destroyed hundreds of thousands of acres of forested land. 30 years later the land is making a remarkable recovery! Mother nature is at it again!

Thank You Walmart!

I read in USA Today a wonderful news release about Wal-Mart.
Apparently they have evaluated and re-vamped their donation efforts. They will now donate $2 billion worth of food to food banks over the next 5 years! Food banks are struggling right now to keep up with demand as the number of Americans on food stamps is over 38 million. Thank you Wal-Mart for trying to be a more socially-conscious corporation!
