5 Ways You Can Look (and hopefully feel) Younger!

imgres.jpg

As it turns out, some of us have some daily habits that make us look older. Try these ideas to start losing years.

1. Consume less sugar. The problem is that sugars i the blood stream bind to proteins and form Advanced Glycation End Products. These in turn damage other proteins such as collagen and elastin. Collagen and Elastin keep your skin firm and elastic. So if you want less wrinkles and less sagging skin, eat less sugar!

2. Deal with stress in a healthy way. Dr. Andrew Weil recommends deep breathing exercises. Breathe in through the nose for 4 counts, hold your breath for 7 counts, then exhale through the mouth for 8 counts while making a "whoosh" sound. Reducing stress reduces the hormones cortisol and norepinephrine which in turn lowers blood pressure and increases the effectiveness of your immune system which improves healing, prevents arteries from hardening and prevents certain areas of your brain from shrinking. The areas of your brain responsible for learning, memory, and mood!

3. Exercise for at least a half hour per day. Regular exercisers have longer telomeres (cellular biomarkers) Telomeres shorten as people age. Regular exercise keeps the brain sharp, reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes, and reduces inflamation.

4. Have an active and healthy social life. Think about it, when you get back from hanging out with your friends you feel invigorated and refreshed and happy. As it turns out, this is a good thing. Who would have known? Having good friendships can help reduce the risk of obesity, heart disease, and depression.

5. Eat more eggs! Omega-3 Fatty acids is a very healthy fat. It is good for your brain, heart, skin, bones, and joints.

John Wooden Dies at 99!!

Legenday UCLA College basketball coach passed away today. The man lived a full life including a 53 year marriage to his wife! After a solid 99 years he is now gone. So how did he do it? How did he live so long?

Answer: I have no idea. But I have some suggestions anyways. First, regular exercise is key!! An hour a day is recommended. Second, manage stress levels healthily by taking needed relaxation time and stretching. Third, eat a healthy (organic, of course!) diet and get the right amount of sleep. Fourth, regular check ups at the doctor.

Always try to avoid pollution, unnecessary chemicals, toxins, and unhealthy relationships!

And when all else fails, get necessary medications. You can get them online now, from secure websites such as TheOnlineMedicalPharmacy.com

Organic foods are free of additives!

One of the biggest threat to human health today is sitting on the shelves of every grocery store in town. Its in the bread, the crackers, the "health bars", the drinks, the chips, the soups, the cereals, the meat, the pasta, the peanut butter, the chewing gum, and almost everything else you can think of. Food additives are used in nearly every food today. They include but are not limited to: high fructose corn syrup, sacharin, MSG, aspartame, palm oil, nitrates, nitrites, potassium bromate, and anything partially hydrogenated. These and many other food additives have been linked to many health problems including brain tumors, dizziness, cancer, diabetes, alzheimer's, and birth defects. Please just be aware of this and check labels of food before you buy them. If you don't know what an ingredient is, or better yet - if you can't even pronounce it, then it is probably not the best thing you can be putting into your body. Our bodies aren't miracle workers, you cannot put crap into them and expect anything good to come out of it. Just thought I would let you all know. Thanks
